OUTRAGEOUS! Pope Francis Compares Matteo Salvini’s “Italians First” Language to Nazis
In May Italian media reported Pope Francis would not meet with Lega (League) Party leader and Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini.
Salvini is a devout Catholic who regularly attends mass but Pope Francis allegedly won’t meet with him because of his hardliner stance on immigration.
Salvini wants to protect the homeland from an invasion of third world and mostly Muslim illegal migrants.
Pope Francis disagrees.
Pope Francis has previously met with Fidel Castro, Evo Morales and far left pro-abortion socialist Michael Moore.
This week Pope Francis again slammed Matteo Salvini comparing him to the Nazis.
This is completely unacceptable!
What a disgrace.
Church Militant reported:
Pope Francis is again slamming Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini over his “Italians first” platform, comparing the right-wing leader’s rhetoric to that of the Nazi regime.
“I am concerned because we hear speeches that resemble those of Hitler in 1934,” Francis told Italian newspaper La Stampa on Friday. “‘Us first. We … We …’ These are frightening thoughts.”
The Pope also denounced Salvini’s defense of Italy’s national sovereignty, calling it “an attitude of isolation.”

Benedict XVI Never Said Francis is the Only Pope
It was reported last week that Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI had allegedly said in an interview that Pope Francis is the only reigning pope at this time. The interview was published in the Italian weekly Corriere della Sera, and taken up by the Vatican News Service.
Italian journalist Massimo Franco, who interviewed Benedict XVI on June 23, had published only a few direct quotes in his five-page article about the meeting. According to Catholic News Agency (CNA), Benedict said that Francis is the only Roman pontiff.
“The pope is one, it is Francis,” he reportedly told Franco.
LifeSiteNews has now foiled what appears to be an insidious Vatican plot to make it appear that Benedict XVI asserted that Francis is the only pope. While articles about the interview, including the one by CNA, state that the Pope Emeritus had said in the interview that “the Pope is one, it is Francis,” evidence cannot be found in the interview itself. The following is from an explosive July 4 article just published by LifeSiteNews.
The actual paragraph in which the phrases can be found does not seem to be a direct quotation from Benedict XVI but a suggestion by the interviewer of what the Pope Emeritus says to Francis’ critics.
Found on page 28, the paragraph has been recently translated for LifeSiteNews by Diane Montagna. Purporting to describe the six years of Benedict’s retirement in Vatican City, Franco wrote:
“When the history of these hidden years in Mater Ecclesia is written, it must not leave out the confidential visits from cardinals and bishops who knocked at the door looking for reassurance and voiced their criticisms and perplexity about the current pontificate. And one will discover how much was done to avoid lacerations. Bergoglio’s adversaries, who are often conservatives desperately searching for a word from Benedict that sounds like a criticism of Bergoglio, have invariably heard the response that ‘the Pope is one, it is Francis.’”
A trusted source told LifeSiteNews yesterday that Franco is refusing to confirm that the Pope Emeritus really did say those words. No evidence Pope Benedict said ‘the Pope is one; it is Francis’

Pope Calls for New Catholic Theological Curriculum – Teaching Students to View Muslims as Brothers
Pope calls on faithful to be as blind to real life dangers as he is.
This guy is a continued clown show. When he’s not pushing global warming and open borders, he’s pushing partnership and brotherhood with Islam.
God save your church!
Robert Spencer has fun with this one.
Meanwhile…
Radical Islam has its own plans.
ABC News reported:
Pope Francis called Friday for a reform of the way theology is taught in Catholic schools, saying students must learn about dialogue with Judaism and Islam, and that overall there must be greater freedom in theological research and academic pursuits.
The Jesuit pope made the call during a speech at the Jesuit-run theology university in Naples. It follows his outreach this year to the Muslim world with the signing of a joint statement with the imam of Cairo’s Al Azhar, the seat of Sunni learning, establishing the relationship between Catholics and Muslims as brothers, with a common mission to promote peace.
In his speech, Francis said dialogue and partnership with the Muslim world is necessary “to build a peaceful existence, even when there are the troublesome episodes by fanatic enemies of dialogue.”
Catholic theology students must learn the culture, language and way of thinking of Jews and Muslims “to better understand and live out our relationship,” he said.
After the theologically doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, Francis has stressed instead the need to “walk together” with interfaith partners, often joking that theologians should ruminate on a deserted island while religious leaders press ahead with dialogue on the ground. He has also called for a more pastoral, merciful and conscience-driven approach to sticky theological problems, such as Communion for the civilly remarried.

Pope Francis made this big change to Lord's Prayer
Pope Francis wants to change the Lord's Prayer
Father Jonathan Morris reacts on 'The Story.'
Lead us not into mistranslation.
Pope Francis officially approved a change to the most famous prayer in Christianity.
It's the prayer Jesus taught his followers to pray and one of the few things that unites 2.2 billion Christians across the globe. But the Holy See's May 22 approval adjusting The Lord's Prayer, widely known among the faithful as the "Our Father," has been years in the making, UCatholic reported.
VIRGINIA PASTOR EXPLAINS PRAYER FOR TRUMP AFTER SOME 'HURT' BY IT
The Catholic leader changed the phrase "lead us not into temptation" to "do not let us fall into temptation," as mentioned in the gospel of Matthew 6:13, because the original translation implies that God induces temptation. The change, officials said, is closer to the original intent of the prayer.
"I am the one who falls; it’s not him pushing me into temptation to then see how I have fallen," Francis explained to Italian broadcasters about the phrase change. "A father doesn't do that, a father helps you to get up immediately. It's Satan who leads us into temptation, that's his department."

Fox News religion correspondent, Jonathan Morris, told Martha MacCallum on "The Story" that Jesus didn't speak English so Church leaders are working on their best interpretation.
"He's saying the translation isn't good because God never makes us fall or never leads us into temptation, he actually allows us to be tempted, but we have to make a choice," Morris said, adding that Jesus originally spoke it in Aramaic before it was translated into Greek and other languages.
POPE FRANCIS LIKENS ABORTION TO HIRING 'HITMAN', SAYS IT'S NEVER ACCEPTABLE
On social media, the pope's change has received praise for making sense but others have called it an abomination. One user said: "this is like changing the Declaration of Independence."
Francis also approved changes to The Gloria from “Peace on earth to people of good will” to “Peace on Earth to people beloved by God.”

Lead Us Not Into Bad Translations: Pope Francis Enacts Change to Lord’s Prayer
We all know the words by heart:
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
That’s the Catholic text of “The Lord’s Prayer.” But The Vatican — under the direction of Pope Francis — will soon enact a major change to the text to correct what the pope has called a bad translation.
The pope in 2017 said that the phrase found in Matthew 6:9-13 — “Lead us not into temptation” — is not correctly translated. “I am the one who falls; it’s not him [God] pushing me into temptation to then see how I have fallen,” the pope explained.
After 16 years of study, experts “from a theological, pastoral and stylistic viewpoint” found a significant mistake in these translations, the Daily Express reports.
According to the project, the line “lead us not into temptation” should be changed to “abandon us not when in temptation”.
This proposal, which has been submitted for approval to the Vatican, is likely to be welcomed by Pope Francis, who last year noted “a father does not lead into temptation, a father helps you to get up immediately.”

This proposal, which has been submitted for approval to the Vatican, is likely to be welcomed by Pope Francis, who last year noted “a father does not lead into temptation, a father helps you to get up immediately”.
He added: “It is not a good translation because it speaks of a God who induces temptation.”
“It’s Satan who leads us into temptation, that’s his department,” the pope said.
The prayer has been changed before. In 1928, the words “For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever” were added.
Pope Francis said other translations have been altered.
“The French have modified the prayer to ‘do not let me fall into temptation’, because it is me who falls, not the Lord who tempts me to then see how I fall”.
The change to the prayer, also knows as the Pater Noster will change quickly. A representative from the Episcopal Conference said: “The Bishops intend for the publication of the new edition to be an opportunity to help renew the ecclesiastic community.”
“Developments like these are becoming increasingly crucial in the process of Christian initiation, in workshops and in proposals for the permanent training of the clergy.”

The LGBT Political Campaign Behind Pope Francis' Election
It indeed behooves the Church's episcopal body to take a closer look at the 2013 papal election, since we may very well be witnessing the fulfillment of the prophecy of St. Francis of Assisi concerning a false shepherd
With theologians and bishops aghast over what some are calling ‘the most terrible schism the world has ever seen,’ it behooves the Catholic hierarchy to take a closer look at the 2013 papal election since it appears to have raised to the Chair of Peter “a man, not canonically elected.”
To recap, on the eve of the 2013 conclave, Cardinal Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga who was one of the key kingmakers for the papal election was busily on the phone with cardinal electors from the Honduran embassy in Rome. His frenzied phone effort was the tail end of an intense lobbying campaign to secure votes for the election of Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio as pope.

Marxist Pope Francis Blames Wars and Massive Migration Numbers from Socialist Hellholes on Capitalism
Pope Francis with tyrant Raul Castro
Pope Francis was attacking the West again in his recent interview that took place before he departed from Morocco last week.
The Marxist Pope blamed capitalism and greed for the massive flood of migrants into the West. He took several shots at the United States blaming the massive influx of migrants from Socialist sh*tholes on capitalism when the exact opposite is true.
This uneducated dope continues to spread a very dangerous message at a time when the global community needs principled leadership.
What a disgrace.
Via American Thinker and The Daily Caller:
Francis laid the blame for poverty and war at the feet of capitalism, saying it provokes the situations that cause migrants to flee their home countries. He said nothing, however, concerning the destructive influence of socialism that has created social, political and economic crises in South American countries like Venezuela.
“This is the hourglass,” Francis said. “Capitalism conceived of as a savage, not a social market economy […] What doesn’t work is the world of finance. This also creates wars, for the possession of wealth, does it not, whether they are international or national? I argue that we are already in a third world war, in pieces.”

Viganò: Rome Has No "Genuine Willingness" to Stop Clerical Sex Abuse
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United states, has publicly expressed his misgivings about the upcoming Vatican summit on clerical sexual-abuse this February 21-25.
In a brief essay issued in response to an invitation to participate in a National Catholic Register symposium on the upcoming summit, he says, “I am praying intensely for the success of the February summit” but laments that there is “no sign of a genuine willingness to attend to the real causes of the present situation.”
Viganò presents three critical questions, wherein he manifests his doubt over the likelihood of success at the summit.

Pope Sings Lullabies, President Trump Confronts Abortion Advocates
Missing from the group shot, but there in spirit among the white-garbed pro-abortion Democrats who turned out for the State of the Union address last night, the Bishop of Rome.
Like all loudly caterwauling hypocritical progressive-lefties, Pope Francis is big on women, but never there for babies.
On the day of SOTU, the most lukewarm Catholic pontiff of recent times purportedly fessed up to the gobsmacking scandal that nuns have been—and may still be—sexually assaulted by bishops and priests—all the way up to their being kept in ongoing sex slavery.
.
“Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Francis noted that Pope Benedict XVI had taken action against a France-based order after some of its religious sisters had been reduced to “sexual slavery” at the hands of the priest who founded the order and other priests.” ()
This was a stunning confession made on the aircraft taking him back to Rome after his historic visit to the United Arab Emirates, including the first-ever papal Mass in the birthplace of Islam.
According to the current Marxist-leaning pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI shut down the sex slave order in 2005.
It is now 2019. Why are we just hearing abut this now?
“Before he became pope, Benedict was Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican department that investigates sexual abuse. The pope at the time was John Paul. (Mirror, Feb. 5, 2019)
“Then-cardinal Ratzinger wanted to investigate the religious order where women were being abused but he was blocked, Pope Francis said, without saying who prevented the probe.
“After he became Pope, Ratzinger reopened the investigation and dissolved the order, Francis said.”
It took 14 long years before Benedict’s courageous efforts would ever see sunlight again.
Most politically Pope Francis also noted that the mistreatment of women is a problem in society at large, where women are still considered “second-class citizens.”
“It’s a cultural problem. I dare say that humanity hasn’t matured,” he said, adding that in some parts of the world the mistreatment gets to the point of feminicide.” (CBC, Feb. 6, 2019)
Doesn’t anyone find the timing of this confession noteworthy?
Where are you Catholic journos?
“It’s not that everyone does this, but there have been priests and bishops who have,” Francis added. “And I think that it’s continuing because it’s not like once you realize it that it stops. It continues. And for some time we’ve been working on it.” (CBC)
Surely someone should be asking him to show us the proof of his having been working on it for “some time”.
“The issue has come to the fore amid the Catholic Church’s overall reckoning with the sexual abuse of minors and the #MeToo-inspired acknowledgement that adults can be victims of abuse whenever there is an imbalance of power in a relationship. In the past year, The Associated Press and other media have reported on cases of abused nuns in India, Africa, Europe and South America — evidence that the problem is by no means limited to a certain geographic area.” (CBC)
“Francis credited Benedict, pope from 2005-2013, with having had the courage to tackle the problem, saying the popular impression that he was somehow weak was completely wrong.
“He said Benedict took action against the French congregation “because a certain slavery of women had crept in, slavery to the point of sexual slavery on the part of clergy or the founder,” he said.
“Sometimes the founder takes away, or empties the freedom of the sisters. It can come to this,” Francis said.
“Asked if any universal norms might be in the works to tackle the problem — as has been done to handle cases of clergy sexual abuse of minors — Francis implied that the priestly abuse of nuns was still being dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
When is disgraced Cardinal Theodore McCarrick going to be dealt with on a “case-by-case” basis?
Interesting to note that throughout all the Bishop of Rome has been singularly silent on partial and post-birth abortions being legislated by the governors of New York, Virginia, Rhode Island and others.
Pope Francis’s new pastoral strategy for confronting abortion is singing lullabies. (Tablet, Jan. 28, 2019)
On his flight back from 2019 World Youth Day in Panama, he told journalists on Jan. 27: “I tell them their child is in heaven, talk to him, I tell them to sing them a lullaby, the lullaby that they had never been able to sing.”
It was President Donald Trump who made it clear in his SOTU address last night that late-term abortion will no longer be tolerated:
“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our Nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he basically stated he would execute a baby after birth.
“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.
“Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: all children—born and unborn—are made in the holy image of God.”
In other words, last night the President of the United States was doing what should be Pope Francis’s job for him.
Thank You, Holy Spirit for sending in a pinch hitter in defense of babies being torn from their mothers’ wombs in the indefensible scourge called Abortion.

Francis: It's better to be atheist than a daily church-goer
canadafreepress.com/article/francis-its-better-to-be-atheist-than-a-daily-church-goer
Pope Francis who has often said that we should never judge has unleashed one of his most brutal judgments against regular church-goers. During his General Audience of January 2, he condemned Catholics who go to church every day but who “go on hating” their fellow man. He said it “is better” that they not go.
“How many times have we witnessed the scandal of those who go to church and spend all day there or attend every day, and later go on hating others or speaking ill of people. This is a scandal,” the pontiff said.
.
Francis speaks of those tradition-minded Catholics who earnestly correct him of his many errors. A troubled conscience indeed renders him defensive and touchy. While the ‘words’ of his Wednesday address carry much truth, they actually apply to Francis who has spent his pontificate detracting the dedicated and the whole of tradition.
The pope said, “It would be better to not go to church. Live like an atheist. If you go to church, then live like a son, like a brother, like an authentic witness, not a counter-witness.”
By “counter-witness,” he speaks of those loyal witnesses of tradition who counteract the modernist trend in the Church. Francis has a history of derogatorily referring to such witnesses as “superficial Christians,” “Idolaters,” “Gnostic”, “climbers…attached to money,” and “fomenters of coprophagia.” He has regularly referred to traditional Catholics as “rigid” and dubs “museum mummies” those proponents of the Latin Mass who adhere to the traditions of the old Church. Consider this excerpt from his Gaudete et Exsultate:
“Not infrequently, contrary to the promptings of the Spirit, the life of the Church can become a museum piece or the possession of a select few. This can occur when some groups of Christians give excessive importance to certain rules, customs or ways of acting.”
Francis also took a ‘pop-shot’ at vocal prayer. According to the pope, those who devoutly say their vocal prayers [Rosaries] out-loud in church are “hypocrites” engaging in mindless parrot-babbling without heart just so “they can be seen by people.”
“Pagans,” the pontiff said, “think they pray by talking, talking, and talking. I think that many Christians believe that praying is to talk to God, if you’ll forgive me, like a parrot. No, praying is done in the heart, from within.”
His rant echoes the typical Protestant charge against “empty repeated prayers” said by Roman Catholics. And how interesting to note that his slight of vocal prayer comes just at a time when he is considering making a historic change to the most sacred and famous of all vocal prayers—the Our Father—on the grounds that this prayer as it is currently said “induces temptation.” Is it that Francis loves prayer from the heart or is he just barking against heartful prayer?
Certainly, he has gone out of his way to extol heartless rebels who bark against the Church—people like Luther, Bonino, Camara, and Castro. According to Francis, censured homosexuals and liberals are the “marginalized ones” that Jesus has “crowned with joy.”
As we know, eulogizing rebels as martyrs is a commonly used ploy in the Communist movement. Alluding to this movement, the pope said, “This is the Gospel revolution. Everyone is capable of love. Peacemakers that until then had been on the margin of history are building the Kingdom of God.” He emphasized, “Where the Gospel is, so too is revolution. The Gospel does not leave us unmoved. It pushes us; it is revolutionary.”
His use of the word “revolutionary” suggests that the Church is a Marxist organization that Jesus set up to counteract institutionalized religion. Did Francis not say more than once that “the communists are the true Christians” and that “they have stolen our flag”? The inference is that the communists and not the Catholics deserve to carry the flag of “justice and peace.”
Francis says, “It would be better not to go to church” than to spend “all day there” as “hypocrites.” Amen, it would be better never to go to Church than to spend every day there trying to update and revolutionize the Church. Better that Renew hypocrites leave the Church, lest Christ suddenly come and sling them from His Temples!

Red Francis: Western World Has “Moral Responsibility” to Let in More Migrants
On Thursday Pope Francis weighed in on the migration crisis facing the West from third world countries.
Red Francis called on Western nations to open their doors to the flood of economic migrants from corrupt, poor regimes.
This pope appears to put no thought into his touchy-feely far left positions.
Voice of Europe reported:
“It is the “moral responsibility” of the outside world to accept even more migrants,” Pope Francis explained in a speech on Thursday.
This year it is 70 years since the globalist organisation that is the UN adopted the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”.
It was for that reason that Pope Francis urged the outside world to open its doors to even more migrants.
He referred to the declaration’s recognition that all human beings have “universal and indivisible rights”, which are the basis for “justice, freedom and peace in the world”.
According to the Pope, it is everyone’s responsibility to deal with the consequences of war, poverty, inequality and mass migration.
“No solution to the global issue of mass migration should ignore our moral responsibility for the common good, to welcome, protect, promote and integrate those who knock on our doors to find a safe future,” he continued.
At the same time, the morals among his close advisors aren’t exactly impressive. This past week, three cardinals have left the Pope’s most important advisory body, the Council of Cardinals.

Bypass the Pope By Going Directly to The Savior
There’s an increasingly perceivable-Li’l Abner Joe Btfsplk-like black cloud hovering over the heads of the faithful during the ongoing crisis in the Catholic Church.
People are said to be leaving the Church in droves. The Bishop of Rome has slammed the door shut on all criticism of the dominance of homosexuality in a clergy increasingly in league with the devil.
Most scandalously homosexual priests seem to be favored by the Vatican while devoted, traditional, stick-to-the-Gospel parish priests are being thrown to the wolves or smothered in an unrelenting bureaucracy that sees little or no merit in priests intent on putting the Gospel of Christ before Global Warming and Social justice in their homilies.
Indeed, there’s a black cloud hovering over the heads of the faithful that even follows them to Mass.
Not as visible is the even bigger black cloud hovering over the haughty head of Jorges Mario Bergoglio, the Argentine politician with Vatican citizenship, masquerading as Pope Francis.
The black cloud following the current Bishop of Rome originates with the countless number of Catholics choosing to go over the Pope’s head, directly to Jesus Christ.
And while Francis uses his power to block all questions and criticism, it is well nigh impossible for him to stop the faithful from going over his head to Jesus, to Whom they are wired.
The news sites and bloggers now calling out Francis for abandoning his flock are numerous.
But the worst thing about Francis is that he seems to be abandoning our Savior.
It will not be the faithful or even the many abused by clerics who will get to judge this wayward, pontiff, any other pontiff, or for that matter, a pastor of any other denomination.
The words of The Apostles Creed prayed at every Mass throughout the world:”On the third day, He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.”
Strong, enduring words that seem to have gone right over the head of Pope Francis.
While so many of us moan and groan about what is happening in the Catholic Church, the devil is doing delighted somersaults right over the altar.
The devil wants us to believe that all is lost and that there is nowhere to turn.
The devil wants all souls plunged into a deep and dark despair from which there is no return.
Pray to St. Michael the Archangel to have “Cast into Hell, the devil and all evil spirits who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls”.
The Lavender Mafia may have predated the March 13, 2013 election of Pope Francis, but his arrival—perhaps even masterminded by it—has accelerated under his watch:

“The paper said the pope had taken the decision on 17 December that he was going to resign – the day he received a dossier compiled by three cardinals delegated to look into the so-called “Vatileaks” affair.”
Last May Pope Benedict’s butler, Paolo Gabriele, was arrested and charged with having stolen and leaked papal correspondence that depicted the Vatican as a seething hotbed of intrigue and infighting.
“According to La Repubblica, the dossier comprising “two volumes of almost 300 pages – bound in red” had been consigned to a safe in the papal apartments and would be delivered to the pope’s successor upon his election.
“The newspaper said the cardinals described a number of factions, including one whose members were “united by sexual orientation”.
“In an apparent quotation from the report, La Repubblica said some Vatican officials had been subject to “external influence” from laymen with whom they had links of a “worldly nature”. The paper said this was a clear reference to blackmail.

Remember this from 2010?: (American Mirror)
“Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger tried to persuade Pope John Paul II to mount a full investigation into a cardinal who abused boys and young monks, one of the Church’s most senior figures revealed yesterday. But Ratzinger’s opponents in the Vatican managed to block the inquiry. As the future Benedict XVI put it: “The other side won.”
“The pervert cardinal was the late Hans Hermann Groer, removed as Archbishop of Vienna in 1995 following sex allegations.
“The source for the story is Groer’s successor in Vienna, Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, an intellectual whom some commentators have tipped as a possible future Pope.
“The other side won,” according to Benedict, quoted by Cdl. Schoenborn, who personally put a lot on the line trying to compel John Paul to deal with this situation.
“Who was on the “other side” of Cardinal Ratzinger, and why would they cover up for a molesting gay cardinal?”

Why is the Vatican still covering up for “molesting gay cardinals” and getting away with it five years on?
The current pontiff’s command over millions of Catholics is all in his head. Francis is a legend in his own mind, but needn’t be a legend in ours.
Pope Francis is the 266th Pope and down through the ages, there have been other popes who abandoned the Word Made into Flesh.
Don’t let any pope, any pastor keep or delay you from going directly to your sole Savior.
Pomp and circumstance notwithstanding, a pope is nothing compared to the Way, the Truth and the Life”.
There are those who unceasingly claim that there is no way out of the current crisis in the Church some of whom who even mock those keeping the Faith.
But there is a way out. It’s called going over the head of Pope Francis, directly to Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.
That is the way—the only way— to escape the evil grip of the ongoing crisis in the Church.

Commie Michael Moore Says Pope Told Him Capitalism Is a Sin
Rush Limbaugh was right.
In November 2013 Rush Limbaugh blasted Pope Francis for his anti-capitalist economic statements. Rush Limbaugh admitted being “befuddled” by the harsh words about “unfettered capitalism” released by Pope Francis.
“If it weren’t for capitalism I don’t know where the Catholic Church would be?” The Pope has gone beyond Catholicism here… This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the Pope.”
Rush was right.
Two weeks ago atheist Michael Moore had a private audience with the Argentine pope.
Moore says Pope Francis told him capitalism was a sin.

Pope blames devil for Church divisions, scandals, seeks angel's help
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The devil is alive and well and working overtime to undermine the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis says.
In fact, the pope is so convinced that Satan is to blame for the sexual abuse crisis and deep divisions racking the Church that he has asked Catholics around the world to recite a special prayer every day in October to try to beat him back.
“(The Church must be) saved from the attacks of the malign one, the great accuser and at the same time be made ever more aware of its guilt, its mistakes, and abuses committed in the present and the past,” Francis said in a message on Sept. 29.
Since he was elected in 2013, Francis has made clear that he believes the devil to be real. In a document in April on holiness in the modern world, Francis mentioned the devil more than a dozen times.
“We should not think of the devil as a myth, a representation, a symbol, a figure of speech or an idea. This mistake would lead us to let down our guard, to grow careless and end up more vulnerable,” he wrote in the document.
The Church has recently been hit by one sexual abuse scandal after another, from Germany, to the United States, to Chile. At the same time, a deepening polarization between conservatives and liberals in the Church has played out on social media.
Francis’ use of the term “the great accuser” to describe Satan hit a raw nerve with one of the pope’s harshest conservative critics, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the Vatican’s former ambassador to Washington.
CHURCH DIVISIONS
In an 11-page statement published on Aug. 26, Viganò launched an unprecedented broadside by a Church insider against the pope and a long list of Vatican and U.S. Church officials.
He accused Francis of knowing about sexual misconduct by a former U.S. cardinal with male adult seminarians but not doing anything about it.
FILE PHOTO: Pope Francis talks as he meets youth and the Synod Fathers at the Pope Paul VI hall in Vatican, October 6, 2018. REUTERS/Alessandro Bianchi
Viganò, concluding that his former boss had singled him out as the devil in disguise, complained in his next statement that Francis “compared me to the great accuser, Satan, who sows scandal and division in the Church, though without ever uttering my name”.
On Sunday, a top Vatican official issued a scathing open letter accusing Viganò of mounting a “political frame job devoid of real foundation” and contesting his accusations against the pope point by point.
Francis is so convinced that Satan is ultimately to blame for both the sexual abuse scandals and the divisions within the Church that he has enlisted the aid of spiritual big gun - St. Michael the Archangel. Michael is mentioned several times in the Bible as the leader of the angels who ousted Lucifer, the fallen angel, from paradise.
Catholics are being asked to recite the rosary daily in October and conclude it with a prayer to St. Michael that was said after Mass until 1964 but then fell into disuse.
The prayer reads:
“St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.”

Former Vatican official claims Pope Francis knew of abusive ex-cardinal, calls for his resignation
BOMBSHELL: Former Vatican Ambassador and Arch-Bishop Accuses Pope Francis of Failing to Act in Bishop McCarrick’s Abuse Case
Radical left-wing Pope Francis was accused of covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s allegations of sexual abuse.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former apostolic nuncio to the United States made the damning accusations in an 11-page testament that was released this weekend.
Pope Francis has been a frequent critic of US President Donald Trump.
Catholic News Agency reported:
Vatican City, Aug 25, 2018 / 07:00 pm (National Catholic Register).- In an 11-page written testament, a former apostolic nuncio to the United States has accused several senior prelates of complicity in covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s allegations of sexual abuse, and has claimed that Pope Francis knew about sanctions imposed on then-Cardinal McCarrick by Pope Benedict XVI but chose to repeal them.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, 77, who served as apostolic nuncio in Washington D.C. from 2011 to 2016, wrote that in the late 2000s, Benedict had “imposed on Cardinal McCarrick sanctions similar to those now imposed on him by Pope Francis” and that Viganò personally told Pope Francis about those sanctions in 2013.
Archbishop Viganò said in his written statement that Pope Francis “continued to cover” for McCarrick and not only did he “not take into account the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on him” but also made McCarrick “his trusted counselor,” claiming that the former archbishop of Washington advised the pope to appoint a number of bishops in the United States, including Cardinals Blase Cupich of Chicago and Joseph Tobin of Newark.
Archbishop Viganò, who said his “conscience dictates” that the truth be known as “the corruption has reached the very top of the Church’s hierarchy,” ended his testimony by calling on Pope Francis and all of those implicated in the cover up of Archbishop McCarrick’s abuse to resign.
On June 20, Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, on the order of Pope Francis, prohibited former Cardinal McCarrick from public ministry after an investigation by the New York archdiocese found an accusation of sexual abuse of a minor was “credible and substantiated.” That same day, the public learned that the Archdiocese of Newark and the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey had received three accusations of sexual misconduct involving adults against McCarrick. Since then media reports have written of victims of the abuse, spanning decades, include a teenage boy, three young priests or seminarians, and a man now in his 60s who alleges McCarrick abused him from the age of 11. The pope later accepted McCarrick’s resignation from the College of Cardinals.

Former Vatican official claims Pope Francis knew of abusive ex-cardinal, calls for his resignation
Last Updated Aug 26, 2018 10:50 AM EDT
A former Vatican ambassador to the U.S. said Sunday that he told Pope Francis in 2013 about allegations of sexual abuse against a prominent priest — and that Francis took no action. Now he is calling for Francis to step down.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano made the claims in a lengthy statement that concludes with a call for Francis' resignation: "In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example to Cardinals and Bishops who covered up McCarrick's abuses and resign along with all of them," he writes.
CBS News spoke on a video call with Vigano, who confirmed he wrote the statement and said he was speaking out now "to combat the grave situation in the church, to protect the church and also to stop future abuse." He told CBS News producer Anna Matranga that he had no agenda and was stating facts.
Vigano, who retired in 2016 at age 75, described an exchange with Francis on June 23, 2013, shortly after he became pope. It involved Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the former archbishop of Washington, D.C., who resigned last month over claims he sexually abused seminary students and an altar boy.
Vigano writes that he told Francis about the allegations: "Holy Father, I don't know if you know Cardinal McCarrick, but if you ask the Congregation for Bishops there is a dossier this thick about him. He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance."
Vigano writes the pope did not respond to the statement, and McCarrick continued in his role as a public figure for the church.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, then-Apostolic Nuncio to United States, listens to remarks at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' annual fall meeting, Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, in Baltimore.

"Pope Francis has repeatedly asked for total transparency in the Church," Vigano continues. "He must honestly state when he first learned about the crimes committed by McCarrick, who abused his authority with seminarians and priests. In any case, the Pope learned about it from me on June 23, 2013 and continued to cover him."
Pope Francis addressed the sex abuse scandal on Saturday in comments made in Dublin. "The failure of ecclesiastical authorities — bishops, religious superiors, priests and others — to adequately address these repugnant crimes has rightly given rise to outrage, and remains a source of pain and shame for the Catholic community," he said. "I myself share these sentiments."
Pope Francis accepted McCarrick's resignation on July 28. McCarrick has maintained his innocence.
Father Boniface Ramsey of New York told CBS News this month that he repeatedly complained about McCarrick and heard about his disturbing behavior as early as 1986.
This month, a Pennsylvania grand jury issued a report that said more than 300 priests abused more than 1,000 children, and likely thousands more, over seven decades.
Nearly 100 of the accused clergy are from the Pittsburgh diocese alone, where Donald Wuerl, the current cardinal of Washington, D.C., was the bishop for 18 years.
In his statement, Vigano writes that Wuerl also knew about McCarrick. "His recent statements that he knew nothing about it … are absolutely laughable. The cardinal lies shamelessly."
On Sunday, a spokesperson for Wuerl responded to the new claims: "In spite of what Archbishop Vigano's memo indicates, Cardinal Wuerl did not receive any documentation or information during his time in Washington regarding any actions taken against Archbishop McCarrick."
In an interview with CBS News correspondent Nikki Battiste before the grand jury report, Wuerl said that he was quick to deal with allegations and that he was not aware of any rumors about McCarrick.
"If there were allegations, we dealt with them immediately," he said. "All the time that [McCarrick] was here and certainly all the time that I've been here, there was never any news. If I could tell you no one ever came to me and said this person did this to me. No one. No one. And remember, we were just talking about Pittsburgh. I was in Pittsburgh...we weren't following the rumors of different parts of the country."
Wuerl also suggested to CBS News that McCarrick had paid a price for his actions. "He has resigned and his resignation has been accepted. And he's been told to stay in seclusion...that's a pretty substantial penalty to be paying."
Vigano's statement calls on the church to take action. "To restore the beauty of holiness to the face of the Bride of Christ — so tremendously disfigured by so many abominable crimes, if we truly want to free the Church from the fetid swamp into which she has fallen, we must have the courage to tear down the culture of secrecy and publicly confess the truths that we have kept hidden."

Pope Francis: Letter to the People of God (full text)
Pope Francis has responded to new reports of clerical sexual abuse and the ecclesial cover-up of abuse. In an impassioned letter addressed to the whole People of God, he calls on the Church to be close to victims in solidarity, and to join in acts of prayer and fasting in penance for such "atrocities".
Letter of His Holiness Pope Francis
To the People of God
f one member suffers, all suffer together with it” (1 Cor 12:26). These words of Saint Paul forcefully echo in my heart as I acknowledge once more the suffering endured by many minors due to sexual abuse, the abuse of power and the abuse of conscience perpetrated by a significant number of clerics and consecrated persons. Crimes that inflict deep wounds of pain and powerlessness, primarily among the victims, but also in their family members and in the larger community of believers and nonbelievers alike. Looking back to the past, no effort to beg pardon and to seek to repair the harm done will ever be sufficient. Looking ahead to the future, no effort must be spared to create a culture able to prevent such situations from happening, but also to prevent the possibility of their being covered up and perpetuated. The pain of the victims and their families is also our pain, and so it is urgent that we once more reaffirm our commitment to ensure the protection of minors and of vulnerable adults.
1. If one member suffers…
In recent days, a report was made public which detailed the experiences of at least a thousand survivors, victims of sexual abuse, the abuse of power and of conscience at the hands of priests over a period of approximately seventy years. Even though it can be said that most of these cases belong to the past, nonetheless as time goes on we have come to know the pain of many of the victims. We have realized that these wounds never disappear and that they require us forcefully to condemn these atrocities and join forces in uprooting this culture of death; these wounds never go away. The heart-wrenching pain of these victims, which cries out to heaven, was long ignored, kept quiet or silenced. But their outcry was more powerful than all the measures meant to silence it, or sought even to resolve it by decisions that increased its gravity by falling into complicity. The Lord heard that cry and once again showed us on which side he stands. Mary’s song is not mistaken and continues quietly to echo throughout history. For the Lord remembers the promise he made to our fathers: “he has scattered the proud in their conceit; he has cast down the mighty from their thrones and lifted up the lowly; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty” (Lk 1:51-53). We feel shame when we realize that our style of life has denied, and continues to deny, the words we recite.
With shame and repentance, we acknowledge as an ecclesial community that we were not where we should have been, that we did not act in a timely manner, realizing the magnitude and the gravity of the damage done to so many lives. We showed no care for the little ones; we abandoned them. I make my own the words of the then Cardinal Ratzinger when, during the Way of the Cross composed for Good Friday 2005, he identified with the cry of pain of so many victims and exclaimed: “How much filth there is in the Church, and even among those who, in the priesthood, ought to belong entirely to [Christ]! How much pride, how much self-complacency! Christ’s betrayal by his disciples, their unworthy reception of his body and blood, is certainly the greatest suffering endured by the Redeemer; it pierces his heart. We can only call to him from the depths of our hearts: Kyrie eleison – Lord, save us! (cf. Mt 8:25)” (Ninth Station).
2. … all suffer together with it
The extent and the gravity of all that has happened requires coming to grips with this reality in a comprehensive and communal way. While it is important and necessary on every journey of conversion to acknowledge the truth of what has happened, in itself this is not enough. Today we are challenged as the People of God to take on the pain of our brothers and sisters wounded in their flesh and in their spirit. If, in the past, the response was one of omission, today we want solidarity, in the deepest and most challenging sense, to become our way of forging present and future history. And this in an environment where conflicts, tensions and above all the victims of every type of abuse can encounter an outstretched hand to protect them and rescue them from their pain (cf. Evangelii Gaudium, 228). Such solidarity demands that we in turn condemn whatever endangers the integrity of any person. A solidarity that summons us to fight all forms of corruption, especially spiritual corruption. The latter is “a comfortable and self-satisfied form of blindness. Everything then appears acceptable: deception, slander, egotism and other subtle forms of self-centeredness, for ‘even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light’ (2 Cor 11:14)” (Gaudete et Exsultate, 165). Saint Paul’s exhortation to suffer with those who suffer is the best antidote against all our attempts to repeat the words of Cain: “Am I my brother's keeper?” (Gen 4:9).
I am conscious of the effort and work being carried out in various parts of the world to come up with the necessary means to ensure the safety and protection of the integrity of children and of vulnerable adults, as well as implementing zero tolerance and ways of making all those who perpetrate or cover up these crimes accountable. We have delayed in applying these actions and sanctions that are so necessary, yet I am confident that they will help to guarantee a greater culture of care in the present and future.
Together with those efforts, every one of the baptized should feel involved in the ecclesial and social change that we so greatly need. This change calls for a personal and communal conversion that makes us see things as the Lord does. For as Saint John Paul II liked to say: “If we have truly started out anew from the contemplation of Christ, we must learn to see him especially in the faces of those with whom he wished to be identified” (Novo Millennio Ineunte, 49). To see things as the Lord does, to be where the Lord wants us to be, to experience a conversion of heart in his presence. To do so, prayer and penance will help. I invite the entire holy faithful People of God to a penitential exercise of prayer and fasting, following the Lord’s command.[1] This can awaken our conscience and arouse our solidarity and commitment to a culture of care that says “never again” to every form of abuse.
It is impossible to think of a conversion of our activity as a Church that does not include the active participation of all the members of God’s People. Indeed, whenever we have tried to replace, or silence, or ignore, or reduce the People of God to small elites, we end up creating communities, projects, theological approaches, spiritualities and structures without roots, without memory, without faces, without bodies and ultimately, without lives.[2] This is clearly seen in a peculiar way of understanding the Church’s authority, one common in many communities where sexual abuse and the abuse of power and conscience have occurred. Such is the case with clericalism, an approach that “not only nullifies the character of Christians, but also tends to diminish and undervalue the baptismal grace that the Holy Spirit has placed in the heart of our people”.[3] Clericalism, whether fostered by priests themselves or by lay persons, leads to an excision in the ecclesial body that supports and helps to perpetuate many of the evils that we are condemning today. To say “no” to abuse is to say an emphatic “no” to all forms of clericalism.
It is always helpful to remember that “in salvation history, the Lord saved one people. We are never completely ourselves unless we belong to a people. That is why no one is saved alone, as an isolated individual. Rather, God draws us to himself, taking into account the complex fabric of interpersonal relationships present in the human community. God wanted to enter into the life and history of a people” (Gaudete et Exsultate, 6). Consequently, the only way that we have to respond to this evil that has darkened so many lives is to experience it as a task regarding all of us as the People of God. This awareness of being part of a people and a shared history will enable us to acknowledge our past sins and mistakes with a penitential openness that can allow us to be renewed from within. Without the active participation of all the Church’s members, everything being done to uproot the culture of abuse in our communities will not be successful in generating the necessary dynamics for sound and realistic change. The penitential dimension of fasting and prayer will help us as God’s People to come before the Lord and our wounded brothers and sisters as sinners imploring forgiveness and the grace of shame and conversion. In this way, we will come up with actions that can generate resources attuned to the Gospel. For “whenever we make the effort to return to the source and to recover the original freshness of the Gospel, new avenues arise, new paths of creativity open up, with different forms of expression, more eloquent signs and words with new meaning for today’s world” (Evangelii Gaudium, 11).
It is essential that we, as a Church, be able to acknowledge and condemn, with sorrow and shame, the atrocities perpetrated by consecrated persons, clerics, and all those entrusted with the mission of watching over and caring for those most vulnerable. Let us beg forgiveness for our own sins and the sins of others. An awareness of sin helps us to acknowledge the errors, the crimes and the wounds caused in the past and allows us, in the present, to be more open and committed along a journey of renewed conversion.
Likewise, penance and prayer will help us to open our eyes and our hearts to other people’s sufferings and to overcome the thirst for power and possessions that are so often the root of those evils. May fasting and prayer open our ears to the hushed pain felt by children, young people and the disabled. A fasting that can make us hunger and thirst for justice and impel us to walk in the truth, supporting all the judicial measures that may be necessary. A fasting that shakes us up and leads us to be committed in truth and charity with all men and women of good will, and with society in general, to combatting all forms of the abuse of power, sexual abuse and the abuse of conscience.
In this way, we can show clearly our calling to be “a sign and instrument of communion with God and of the unity of the entire human race” (Lumen Gentium, 1).
“If one member suffers, all suffer together with it”, said Saint Paul. By an attitude of prayer and penance, we will become attuned as individuals and as a community to this exhortation, so that we may grow in the gift of compassion, in justice, prevention and reparation. Mary chose to stand at the foot of her Son’s cross. She did so unhesitatingly, standing firmly by Jesus’ side. In this way, she reveals the way she lived her entire life. When we experience the desolation caused by these ecclesial wounds, we will do well, with Mary, “to insist more upon prayer”, seeking to grow all the more in love and fidelity to the Church (SAINT IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA, Spiritual Exercises, 319). She, the first of the disciples, teaches all of us as disciples how we are to halt before the sufferings of the innocent, without excuses or cowardice. To look to Mary is to discover the model of a true follower of Christ.
May the Holy Spirit grant us the grace of conversion and the interior anointing needed to express before these crimes of abuse our compunction and our resolve courageously to combat them.

Virgins shocked Vatican allowing them to have sex
'Consecrated' women furious with new Catholic Church ruling
Catholic women who have been consecrated by the church to a life of perpetual virginity in the service of God are furious at the Vatican for a new ruling that suggests virginity is no longer necessary.
The 39-page document published by the Vatican earlier this month, explains “spousal and fruitful love for Christ is not reducible to the symbol of physical integrity,” the Guardian newspaper of London reported.
The ruling was a response to bishops who reported an increasing number of women being called to the vocation.
The paper said it’s believed there are about 5,000 consecrated women in at least 42 countries. The largest populations in France, Italy and Argentina.
Distinguished from nuns, they wear regular clothing and don’t live in communes.
The U.S. Association of Consecrated Virgins said the new doctrine is “deeply disappointing.”
“It is shocking to hear from Mother Church that physical virginity may no longer be considered an essential prerequisite for consecration to a life of virginity.”

Homosexuality, abortion, and divorce: Pope Francis is accused of heresy while hailed for acceptance
•
•
Pope Francis has raised eyebrows during his papacy, there’s no doubt. As the leader of 1.1 billion Catholics, every word he says is picked apart, deciphered, interpreted, and regurgitated.
But the Vatican never confirms or denies the pope’s comments, as per policy. So the world must rely on hearsay, to a degree.
Meaning, the pope just might be the most interesting man in the world.
‘God made you like this’
In late April, Pope Francis met with Juan Carlos Cruz, who was abused by a Catholic priest in Chile.
The victim’s sexuality came up, because Chilean priests sought to use the fact that Cruz was homosexual to discredit his witness testimony.
Cruz reported to the Catholic news outlet Crux that the pope told him during a meeting between the two: “Juan Carlos, that you are gay doesn’t matter. God made you like this and loves you like this and it doesn’t matter to me. The pope loves you like this. You have to be happy with who you are.”
The statement is not inconsistent with what the pope told reporters in 2013, when he said, “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge? They shouldn’t be marginalized. The tendency (to be homosexual) is not the problem.”
Abortion is forgiven
It’s nothing new that all sins can/are/will be forgiven according to one’s faith. But Pope Francis made it official three years ago when he announced that priests could forgive parishioners who have had abortions.
Afterward, the Vatican clarified that “Forgiveness of the sin of abortion does not condone abortion nor minimize its grave effects. … The fact that this statement is coming from the Pope and in such a moving, pastoral way, is more evidence of the great pastoral approach and concern of Pope Francis.”
Pope Francis is slated to visit Ireland in August, following their recent overwhelming vote last week to overturn the country’s abortion ban.
The world will be watching, considering Ireland has historically been vehemently loyal to the Catholic church, but their politics in recent years has signaled an embracement of more socially liberal policies.
More acceptance of homosexual, divorced Catholics
In a noteworthy statement, Pope Francis instructed his priests to use their own discretion on whether or not divorced members of their parishes could receive communion, stating:
“It can no longer simply be said that all those living in any ‘irregular situation’ are living in a state of mortal sin.
He also pressed for more acceptance of gays and lesbians around the world in a directive to his priests, saying, “By thinking that everything is black and white, we sometimes close off the way of grace and growth.”
The pope also acknowledged: ” I understand those who prefer a more rigorous care which leaves no room for confusion. But I sincerely believe that Jesus wants a Church attentive to the goodness which the Holy Spirit sows in the midst of human weakness.”
Has there been a shift in the Catholic church?
It depends on individual perspectives as to whether it’s good or bad. But there’s certainly been a change.
And Cardinal Raymond Burke chose to clarify: “The pope is not free to change the church’s teaching with regard to the immorality of homosexual acts or the insolubility of marriage or any other doctrine of the faith.”
There are plenty of opinions regarding how strictly Catholic doctrine should be followed.
Cardinal Raymond Burke said, “The pope is not free to change the church’s teachings with regard to the immorality of homosexual acts or the insolubility of marriage or any other circumstances.”
As the Crux recently reflected back on the pope’s initiative to follow up on Veterans of Foreign Wars, the publication quoted Francis in an interview in early February when he said:
“We cannot insist only on issues related to abortion, gay marriage, and the use of contraceptive methods. We have to find a new balance.”

FAKE POPE FRANCES MUST LOVE THE LAKE OF FIRE
POPE SHOCK: OK TO BE GAY
'GOD MADE YOU LIKE THIS'
GOD LOVES YOU'
Pope Francis tells gay man ‘God made you like this and loves you like this’
The remarks were apparently made to a victim of clerical sexual abuse and are the most striking acceptance of homosexuality by the Catholic Church to date
By Sofia Petkar
POPE Francis has told a gay man that God loves him during a private meeting, it has been claimed.
In a private dialogue, the Pontiff is understood to have told Juan Carlos Cruz, a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests, that God loves gay people and it is fine to be homosexual.
The comments are the most striking public acceptance about homosexuality ever made by a head of the Roman Catholic Church.
The remarks were made during a private meeting at the Vatican between the pair, in which the Pope offered a heartfelt apology.
Cruz was a victim of Chile’s most notorious paedophile priest Fernando Karadima.
Father Karadima, now aged 87, was found guilty of sexual abuse by the Vatican in 2011.
Cruz claims that his suffering was ignored by a number of Latin American bishops who used his homosexuality to brand him a liar when he spoke out.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper El País, Cruz said: “He [the Pope] told me, ‘Juan Carlos, that you are gay does not matter.
“God made you like this and loves you like this and I don’t care.
“The pope loves you like this. You have to be happy with who you are.”
The Pope’s words signal a much more open and inclusive approach by the often restrictive faith – a move which will likely upset many conservative Catholics.
The Vatican has neither confirmed nor denied the comments the Pontiff’s comments to Cruz.

Pope's reported comment to a gay man may indicate a new level of acceptance of homosexuality
Pope Francis has reportedly told a gay man that "God made you that way and loves you as you are," apparently pushing the pontiff's acceptance of homosexuality to a new level.
Francis made the comments to Juan Carlos Cruz, a Chilean victim of priestly sexual abuse who recently spent days with the pope at the Vatican to discuss his ordeal as the pontiff moves to tackle decades of coverups and ostracism of victims in the Chilean church, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
Cruz was quoted as having discussed his homosexuality with Francis. "He told me: 'Juan Carlos, I don't care about you being gay. God made you that way and loves you as you are and I don't mind. The pope loves you as you are, you have to be happy with who you are.' "
A spokesman at the Vatican on Sunday declined to confirm or deny Francis' comments, stating, "We don't normally comment on the pope's private conversations."
In 2013, Francis famously said, "If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with goodwill, who am I to judge?" when asked for his views on homosexuality, signaling a sea change in Catholic views on sexual orientation.
That year he also told an interviewer, "A person once asked me, in a provocative manner, if I approved of homosexuality," adding, "I replied with another question: 'Tell me: When God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?' "
His reported remarks based on Cruz's account go further, however, by suggesting he believes people are created gay by God — a position likely to anger Catholic conservatives.
"This is a big deal, I cannot remember the pope making a comment about gay people being born that way," said Father James Martin, an American Jesuit priest, whose 2017 book "Building a Bridge" urged greater ties between the church and the LGBTQ community.
"Pope Francis has repeated what all reputable biologists and psychologists say — you don't choose your sexual orientation. And that is a great comfort to many gay and lesbian Catholics who have been told by priests that they have chosen their orientation and are therefore guilty," he said.
The comments do not suggest a change to church teaching, Martin said.
The Catholic Church's catechism currently states the "psychological genesis" of homosexuality "remains largely unexplained."
"Basing itself on sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,' " it states, but adds that gay people "must be accepted with respect, compassion and sensitivity" in the church.
Martin stressed that the pope's comments were reported, not announced. "We have to distinguish between something the pope said on the record and a conversation," he said.
Cruz endured sexual abuse as a youth in Chile by prelate Fernando Karadima, who was sentenced by the Vatican in 2011 to a lifetime of penance.
The Vatican did not, however, believe his claim that the abuse was witnessed and covered up by Chilean Bishop Juan Barros. Francis appointed Barros bishop of the town of Osorno in 2015, hugged him publicly during his visit to Chile in January and dismissed accounts by Cruz and other victims as "slander."
But as public fury in Chile grew, Francis in February dispatched an abuse investigator to interview the victims, inviting them to Rome, admitting he had made "serious mistakes."
Summoning Chile's bishops to Rome, he accused them of destroying evidence of abuse and putting pressure on church investigators to downplay accusations.
On Friday, all 33 bishops in Chile offered to resign.
In his interview with El Pais, Cruz said Francis had been told that Cruz was "deranged" by his detractors before the meeting at Casa Santa Marta, the residence used by the pope at the Vatican.
"The pope treated us like kings in Santa Marta and the bishops as children," Cruz was quoted as saying. "It is clear that he believed us."

THANK GOD: Pope Francis Hints At Retirement
Since his election in 2013, Pope Francis remained one of the more controversial far-left liberal popes in the history of the Catholic Church. You may remember his continuous endorsements of socialism and socialist ‘ideals’. You may also remember when TGP reported Francis told believers that Muslim terrorism does not exist and the dangers of radicalism exists equally in all religions. While it may seem far-fetched, the Pope also instructed the Vatican newspaper to praise Karl Marx…
Well, all things *may* be reverting back to normal soon, as it has just come out that the Pope is exploring retirement. THANK GOD.
During the Pope’s Tuesday homily, Pope Francis made the remark, “When I read this, I think about myself, because I’m a bishop and I’ll have to take my leave.”
He went further to say that Pope Benedict XVI’s retirement “opened the door” to the resignation of future popes.
Pope Francis has yet to directly say if he definitively will retire and what that timeline would look like.

Vatican Newspaper Under Pope Francis Praises Karl Marx the Founder of Communism
The L’Osservatore Romano is the daily newspaper of the Vatican City State. The paper was founded in 1861. It is classified as a semi-official newspaper of the Holy See.
More than a 100 million people were killed by communist regimes in the 20th century.
Previous popes condemned the evil of communism. Not Pope Francis. This is a confusing time for the Catholic Church.
There really is no excuse for this.
CNS News reported:
Several weeks back, Pope Francis was criticized for reportedly claiming “there is no Hell” — a claim he did not deny — and now his own newspaper at the Vatican, L’Osservatore Romano, has published an article that applauds German Cardinal Reinhard Marx for his praise of the founder of Communism, Karl Marx.
In the May 6 article, headlined Marx in controluce (Closer to Marx), Cardinal Reinhard Marx speaks proudly of Karl Marx, who wrote the Communist Manifesto, and whose teaching has been denounced by the Catholic Church and multiple Popes since the 19th century.
Karl Marx’s 200th birthday was on May 5, a birthday that Cardinal Marx applauded in an interview last week and said “we should commemorate.”
Nonetheless, as the respected Catholic blog “The Eponymous Flower” details and translates, “In yesterday’s Sunday edition of the Italian Osservatore Romano, an initiative of Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising, President of the German Bishops’ Conference and member of the C9 Cardinal Council, was benevolently published: the ‘canonization’ of Karl Marx.”
The L’Osservatore Romano article states: “We are all on the shoulders of Karl Marx. That does not mean that he is a church father.”
“This outrageous formulation reserved for former popes and church leaders means that Karl Marx is not a church father, but almost one,” reports The Eponymous Flower.

Pope Francis does for church attendance what Colin Kaepernick did for NFL attendance
By Monica Showalter
The comparison is obvious. A new Gallup poll finds a precipitous drop in Catholic Church attendance coinciding with the years of Pope Francis's papacy. Francis is known for shoving secular statist left-wing ideology into church teachings, through both his words and his deeds, just as Colin Kaepernick did with the National Football League. That's clear in what Pope Francis says and in whom he invites into the Vatican to provide advice. And surprise, surprise, the result is the same: the fans and the flock stay away.

Cardinal: Pope's China deal to 'annihilate' underground church
Hell may not exist, according to Pope Francis, but the pontiff is creating one for his own flock in China, according to one of the most revered Roman Catholic cardinals in the Eastern world.
Cardinal Joseph Zen, emeritus bishop of Hong Kong, blasted Pope Francis’ deal to accommodate and appease China in its desire to control the church by having its functionaries choose its leadership.
In an interview with the U.S.-based Catholic TV network EWTN, Zen told host Raymond Arroyo: “They are going to annihilate the underground church.”
In defending the pact with China, one of the pope’s supporters, Bishop Sanchez Sorondo said today’s totalitarian Chinese regime today best exemplifies the social doctrine of the Catholic Church among governments in the world.
“Please, leave him in peace,” Zen said of that comment. “We don’t have to waste time to talk about that. … That made everybody laugh, OK? It’s a good laugh.”
But Zen is not laughing about the effects of the agreement between the Vatican and Beijing.
“They are bringing them (the underground church) into the cage,” he said. “That’s terrible.”
It’s all part of the communists’ plan. Disinformation: Former Spy Chief Reveals Secret Strategies for Undermining Freedom, Attacking Religion and Promoting Terrorism
Zen, who spent seven years teaching in China’s official, state-approved church, said that from that direct experience, “I know that the church is completely enslaved to the government.”
In a blog written in December, Zen said Chinese authorities had demolished the crosses on many church buildings and questioned if the Vatican was knowledgeable about what had been happening. He said, in effect, the deal amounted to handing over the Catholic Church in China to “an atheist regime.”
Vatican diplomats’ efforts to reach an agreement with the Chinese government would turn bishops into government officials who cannot adequately shepherd their flock, Zen has said.
“Better no deal than a bad deal,” said.
He has said Vatican policy under Pope Francis has left the church in China “much weakened than before.” This harms negotiating power, since “from a weak position you cannot get anything in a negotiation,” he said last month.

The Catholic Church in China is divided into the illegal “underground” church, which remains faithful and in communion with Rome, and the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association, whose bishops are appointed by the government. Members of the underground church are often persecuted by the Chinese government.
While Catholic backers of the proposal justify it on the grounds it is needed to help preserve the hierarchy in China, Cardinal Zen invoked the example of Central Europe under Communism. Such agreements avoid appointing bishops who systematically oppose the government but, he contended, this means choosing opportunists who obey the government.
“They are more officials of the government than the shepherds of the flock,” the cardinal said. “The people may not realize immediately, but sooner or later they see. And then how can they believe the church anymore?”

Easter Angst Pope Francis Style
Meanwhile, as Christians many of us have no time to ponder the words that Pope Francis did or didn’t say
Did Social Justice-boosting Pope Francis really say in an interview with atheist Eugenio Scalfari that Hell does not exist in a story that went viral on, of all days, Holy Thursday?
We don’t know. But no matter what Pope Francis says or doesn’t say, Christians do know for certain that Hell is as real as the air we breathe.
Why the founder of La Repubblica, a communist atheist, was granted a private meeting on the occasion of Easter is unknown

Pope Francis: 'There Is No Hell'
* This story has been updated to include a statement from the Vatican (below).
In another interview with his longtime atheist friend, Eugenio Scalfari, Pope Francis claims that Hell does not exist and that condemned souls just "disappear." This is a denial of the 2,000-year-old teaching of the Catholic Church about the reality of Hell and the eternal existence of the soul.
The interview between Scalfari and the Pope was published March 28, 2018 in La Repubblica. The relevant section on Hell was translated by the highly respected web log, Rorate Caeli.
The interview is headlined, "The Pope: It is an honor to be called revolutionary." (Il Papa: “È un onore essere chiamato rivoluzionario.")
Scalfari says to the Pope, "Your Holiness, in our previous meeting you told me that our species will disappear in a certain moment and that God, still out of his creative force, will create new species. You have never spoken to me about the souls who died in sin and will go to hell to suffer it for eternity. You have however spoken to me of good souls, admitted to the contemplation of God. But what about bad souls? Where are they punished?"
Pope Francis says, "They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: "The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, 'eternal fire.' The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs." (1035)
The Catechism further states, "The affirmations of Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Church on the subject of hell are a call to the responsibility incumbent upon man to make use of his freedom in view of his eternal destiny. They are at the same time an urgent call to conversion: 'Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.'
"Since we know neither the day nor the hour, we should follow the advice of the Lord and watch constantly so that, when the single course of our earthly life is completed, we may merit to enter with him into the marriage feast and be numbered among the blessed, and not, like the wicked and slothful servants, be ordered to depart into the eternal fire, into the outer darkness where 'men will weep and gnash their teeth.'"
Pope Benedict XVI said in a 2007 sermon, “Jesus came to tell us that he wants us all in Heaven and that Hell, of which so little is said in our time, exists and is eternal for those who close their hearts to his love.”
As for the human soul, the Catholic Church teaches that it is eternal, immortal in countless places throughout the Catechism. One instance, "Endowed with 'a spiritual and immortal' soul, the human person is 'the only creature on earth that God has willed for its own sake.' From his conception, he is destined for eternal beatitude." (1703)
* In a statement released on Mar. 29, after Scalfari's report garnered worldwide attention, the Vatican said:
"The Holy Father Francis recently received the founder of the newspaper La Repubblica in a private meeting on the occasion of Easter, without however giving him any interviews. What is reported by the author in today’s article [in La Repubblica] is the result of his reconstruction, in which the textual words pronounced by the Pope are not quoted. No quotation of the aforementioned article must therefore be considered as a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father."

Commie Pope Red Francis Urges Kids to Keep Shouting for Social Change
What’s with this guy?
He sounds more like a Democrat-Socialist than the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Francis told the children of the world to “keep shouting”and not allow adults to silence them.
Seriously?
Two liberal students from Parkland school district were in attendance today at the Pope’s Palm Sunday sermon.
Reuters reported:
Pope Francis, starting Holy Week services leading to Easter, urged young people on Sunday to keep shouting and not allow the older generations to silence their voices or anesthetize their idealism.
Francis spoke a day after hundreds of thousands of young Americans and their supporters answered a call to action from survivors of last month’s Florida high school massacre and rallied across the United States to demand tighter gun laws.
He did not mention the demonstrations. Catholic News Service (CNS) said Gabriella Zuniga, 16, and her sister Valentina, 15, both students from Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, where 17 people were killed in February, attended the service with their parents.
CNS posted a photo of the two holding up signs in St. Peter’s Square, with one reading, “Protect Our Children, Not Our Guns.”
The 81-year-old Francis led a long and solemn Palm Sunday service before tens of thousands in the square, many of them young people there for the Catholic Church’s World Day of Youth.

The pope's evil capitulation to China
Exclusive: Joseph Farah blasts 'wicked' decision to surrePope Francis has agreed to fire two Roman Catholic bishops associated with the “underground church” in China, replacing them with stooges of the state-controlled church.
Why? He wants the Vatican to have better relations with China.
It’s an astonishing development from a pope who seems to take great pleasure lecturing the world on morality. In fact, it’s a complete capitulation to evil.
In effect, he is handing over authority to name leaders of his church to a tyrannical government that insists on controlling almost every aspect of the lives of its citizens – including the way they worship and practice their faith.
He has willingly delivered his persecuted flock over to evil.
It’s unconscionable. It’s cruel. It’s barbaric. It’s immoral. It’s wicked.
I have been critical of this pope in the past, and I’m gratified that many Catholics have stood by me in those dissents. But this action is simply beyond the pale. It’s hard to imagine even secular leaders currying favors with China by handing over millions of the innocent faithful into the clutches of totalitarian Communist fiends.
The pope, always a favorite of the international press because of his penchant for political correctness, has astonished even the elite media, which, at least has a sense that China has no tolerance for anything it does not control absolutely.
About half of the 10 to 12 million self-professing Catholics in China worship in state-approved churches run by apparatchiks of the authoritarian Beijing government, while the other half risk their livelihoods and arrest for worshipping underground.
“On a scale of evil from one to 10, this was a 10 … absolute evil,” said China expert Steven Mosher about the decision. “Crosses are currently being ripped off the top of churches, and home church leaders are being arrested and tortured. … Any political party that will kill 400 million of its own unborn citizens … will stop at nothing to achieve its goals.”
One underground church leader put it this way: “Everybody, and I mean everybody, knows someone who was murdered, or tortured, or disappeared to defend the principle that was just abandoned.”
This pope attacks Donald Trump for using his explicit constitutional prerogative to manage immigration in his own country, yet he yields his own authority to name bishops of his church. It’s a staggeringly hard thing to comprehend.
Officially, the Vatican has not had diplomatic relations with China since the Communist revolution in 1949. And, officially nothing changes with this decision. There have been no quid pro quo concessions by China that have been announced. In other words, the pope got bupkis for handing over two loyal Catholic bishops to the wolves – and maybe more in the future.
Beijing has so far appointed seven bishops Rome opposes, while there are at least 30 underground bishops still operating without the government’s approval but with Rome’s blessing. How would you like to be one of those 30 or more bishops after this surrender?
By the way, this “deal” was in the works through 18 months of negotiations.
Here’s how it went down for Bishop Zhuang Jianjian of the southern Chinese city of Shantou, an 88-year-old who had been secretly ordained in 2006 with Vatican approval.
In December, Bishop Zhuang was escorted by government officials to Beijing, where he was taken to the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to meet a papal delegation believed to have been headed by Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, who leads the Vatican’s China negotiating team.
Vatican envoys asked Bishop Zhuang to step aside in favor of Huang Bingzhang, an excommunicated bishop and a member of China’s rubber-stamp Parliament, the National People’s Congress. Huang was excommunicated in 2011 for accepting the government appointment of bishop despite being repeatedly warned against it by Rome.
Bishop Zhuang had tears in his eyes when the request was made and returned to Shantou.
The Vatican team is said to have then traveled to Fujian Province, where it asked another underground bishop, Guo Xijin, 59, to step down. He was also asked to serve as an assistant to Zhan Silu, a government-appointed bishop whose consecration the Vatican had previously declared illegal.
The Rev. Bernardo Cervellera, the editor of Asianews.it, said the developments showed that Vatican negotiators were prepared to give the Chinese government “carte blanche, and accept all requests and pose no opposition on questions that affect the church in China.”
Recently, Pope Francis suggested changing the words of the Lord’s Prayer – words that are properly, dutifully and accurately translated from the original Greek manuscripts in most Bibles. Perhaps, the best response to this action by the pope is simply to pray: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
While the pope suggested changing the words “lead us not into temptation,” maybe his next suggestion will be deleting the phrase “deliver us from evil.”

Pope Francis Compares ‘Fake News’ To Serpent In The Garden Of Eden
Pope Francis denounced “fake news” as evil, comparing it to the snake that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden.
In his annual social communications message, Francis dedicated his missive this year to “fake news and journalism for peace,” saying misinformation dates back to the Biblical beginning of time.
“The strategy of this skilled ‘Father of Lies’ is precisely mimicry, that sly and dangerous form of seduction that worms its way into the heart with false and alluring arguments,” he said, adding “fake news” played on stereotypes and prejudices. “This biblical episode brings to light an essential element for our reflection: There is no such thing as harmless disinformation; on the contrary, trusting in falsehood can have dire consequences.”
Francis then called on journalists to be “protectors of the news” and to rediscover the dignity of their profession. He said it was their responsibility to communicate the truth.

Red Francis Honors Dutch Abortion Activist with Pontifical Medal of Knighthood
Pope Francis honored Dutch politician and abortion activist Lilianne Ploumen with the pontifical medal of knighthood.
Ploumen is a longtime abortion activist.
Breitbart.com reported:
Pope Francis has conferred the title of “Commander of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great” on Lilianne Ploumen, a Dutch politician and vocal agitator for abortion rights.
Last year, Ploumen founded a pro-abortion organization called She Decides, which offers funding and support for international NGOs that provide, facilitate or campaign for abortion.
In an email to the Catholic Herald, Ms. Ploumen said that she was “very honoured” by the pontifical medal, which was sent via the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs last month.
In an interview with Dutch radio, Ploumen said she views the honor as a sign of the pope’s progressivism, as well as acknowledgement for her work in supporting abortion rights.
Ms. Ploumen said that the award came after much personal investment in contacts with the Vatican, which she defined as “lobbying.”
Last July Pope Francis, who supports socialism, said America has a distorted view of the world.

Pope Francis Changes His Mind, Now Says Fears of Mass Migration Are “Legitimate” And “Fully Comprehensible”…
Less than two weeks ago they were violent racists.
In a nuanced address Sunday for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees, Pope Francis seemed to walk back earlier statements denouncing “xenophobia,” acknowledging instead that fears associated with mass migration are logical and justifiable.
“Local communities are sometimes afraid that the newly arrived will disturb the established order, will ‘steal’ something they have long laboured to build up,” Francis said in a Mass celebrated with migrants and refugees living in Rome Sunday. “These fears are legitimate, based on doubts that are fully comprehensible from a human point of view.”
Whereas it is normal to experience these fears, the Pope said in his homily, it may be wrong to let them control our actions.
“Having doubts and fears is not a sin,” he said. “The sin is to allow these fears to determine our responses, to limit our choices, to compromise respect and generosity, to feed hostility and rejection. The sin is to refuse to encounter the other, the different, the neighbour, when this is in fact a privileged opportunity to encounter the Lord.”
Earlier this month the Pope criticized those who challenge the wisdom of mass migration, accusing them of demagoguery and promoting xenophobia.

Pope Francis: Opponents of Mass Migration Are Violent Racists…
In his new message for the World Day of Peace, Pope Francis has denounced those who question the wisdom of mass migration, accusing them of demagoguery and promoting xenophobia.
Those who decry “the risks posed to national security or the high cost of welcoming new arrivals,” are guilty of “demeaning the human dignity due to all as sons and daughters of God,” Francis said in the New Year’s message.
To resort to such “rhetoric,” the Pope continued, people “are sowing violence, racial discrimination and xenophobia, which are matters of great concern for all those concerned for the safety of every human being.”
The Catholic Church celebrates the World Day of Peace each year on New Year’s day, when it also commemorates the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. In his annual message for the Day of Peace, the Pope opted once again to underscore the plight of migrants and refugees, as he has on several occasions recently.

Christians asking is the pope still Catholic?
Pope Francis
Is the pope Catholic?
It’s not a punch line.
And it would be a rhetorical question in any papacy except that of Pope Francis. But the head of the Roman Catholic Church is showing signs of abandoning fundamental Catholic doctrines – including the existence of hell.
In a recent address, Pope Francis declared “everything will be saved” upon Christ’s return.
“The thought that at the end of our history there will be merciful Jesus suffices in order to have faith and not to curse life,” the pope said. “Everything will be saved. Everything.”
This would suggest the church is opening up to “universalism,” the doctrine that states everyone will ultimately be given salvation.
More spectacularly, Eugenio Scalfari, founder of “la Repubblica,” newspaper and a major Italian journalistic and cultural influence, argues Francis has “abolished the places where souls were supposed to go after death: hell, purgatory, heaven.”
Instead, the souls dominated by evil will “cease to exist.” The pope has also been accused of even warping the words of Scripture in order to make God appear less judgmental.
Father Thomas Weinandy, a member of the Vatican’s International Theological Commission, accused Francis of presiding over “a chronic confusion” in a letter.

Pope Francis accused of heresy by dozens of churchmen

Catholic Theologians Accuse Pope Of Spreading Heresy…
They’re not necessarily wrong.
Via Chicago Tribune:
Several dozen tradition-minded Roman Catholic theologians, priests and academics have formally accused Pope Francis of spreading heresy with his 2016 opening to divorced and civilly remarried Catholics.
In a 25-page letter delivered to Francis last month and provided Saturday to The Associated Press, the 62 signatories issued a “filial correction” to the pope — a measure they said hadn’t been employed since the 14th century.
The letter accused Francis of propagating seven heretical positions concerning marriage, moral life and the sacraments with his 2016 document “The Joy of Love” and subsequent “acts, words and omissions.”

Matthew 7:15-20 King James Version (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Pope’s ‘Don’t Close Your Doors’ Refugee Initiative Begins On The 446th Anniversary Of Papal Army Driving Out Islamic Invaders
Pope Francis called for a week of action and prayer for refugees, starting on the anniversary the Christian fleet defeating the Islamic invasion of Europe.
Francis called for the week of prayer as part of a two-year initiative, Share the Journey, launched with Caritas Internationalis (CI) — a Catholic relief and social services organization — on Wednesday to aid refugee families and spread Catholic social teachings, according to America Magazine. The week of prayer will begin Oct. 7, the anniversary of the 1571 Battle of Lepanto when the Christian fleet formed by countries of the Holy League and various Papal states defeated the Ottomans and ended the Muslim conquest of Europe.
The Catholic Church celebrates the victory of that battle as the Feast of Our Lady of Victory, remembering the battle as the day the Blessed Virgin Mary interceded on behalf of the Christian forces to halt the Islamization of Europe. (Related: One Million Catholics To Join Mass Rosary On Poland’s Border)
The timing seems ironic, given that the majority of refugees fleeing to Europe are Muslim and that Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, president of CI, has admonished governments to “keep your doors open” and not turn refugees away. Tagle’s appeal may find opposition among certain communities, like those in Germany who have dealt with Salafist Muslim gangs, or those in Sweden where Islamic extremists have dominated several communities where police fear to tread. Even Italy has stopped refugee migration from Libya and begun working instead with Libyan militias to cease migrant traffic, though Francis gave his approval to Italy’s move.
The initiative, according to Tagle, aims to create a “culture of encounter” between migrants and refugees and the communities into which they move.
“Fear comes first from the unknown,” Tagle said. “Many people who are against migration or receiving migrants have not even met a real migrant or a real refugee, have not even touched the hand of someone forced to flee a war, have not even smelled the misery of these people. So we wonder, ‘What are you afraid of? Where is this fear coming from?'”
The fear Tagle references, however, appears to come from both migrants and the residents of the communities in which they live, based not only on cultural unfamiliarity but also on adversarial encounters and high profile terrorist attacks perpetrated by migrants.. Failure of Muslim migrants and refugees to culturally integrate with their new European communities, coupled with migrants’ experiences of rising social discrimination, however, has led to increased tension between them. (Related: Anti-Islamic Discrimination Rising In Countries Attacked By Jihadis)
Caring for refugees and migrants is necessary according to Catholic teaching, Joan Rosenhauer, executive vice president of U.S. operations for Catholic Relief Services.
“Catholic social teaching has clear messages of caring for strangers, the importance of hearing their stories and understanding their needs,” Rosenhauer told Catholic News Service.
The initiative will focus primarily on sharing the stories of migrants and refugees in an effort to foster understanding as to why the individuals left their home countries in search of better lives, and the struggles they have faced. The 165 development agencies that comprise CI, as well as several other Catholic organizations, pledged to partner globally for this initiative: both to help Catholic faithful explore the Church’s social teachings relevant to migrants and refugees, and to spread Catholic teaching to people groups affected by the current migrant and refugee crises.
“The hope is that through the stories that are presented, the images presented, that people will be moved from their place of comfort to a place of encounter. That’s what the church is calling us to. That’s what the pope is calling us to,” Kristin Witte of Catholic Relief Services told America Magazine.
Francis launched the initiative in light of the 65.6 million forcibly displaced migrants around the world, as reported by the UN High Commission for Refugees. 22.2 million of those reported forcibly displaced are refugees, 55 percent of which come from Syria, Afghanistan, and South Sudan.

Pope Francis 'paving way for Antichrist'

COLOMBIA REPORTS) An ultra-conservative university and television network director has fallen out of grace with Colombia’s Catholic church after claiming Pope Francis is a “false prophet” who is “paving the way for the Antichrist.”
The influential but radical Jose Galat, director of the Great Colombia university and Teleamiga television network, almost spewed fire when interviewed by Blu Radio about an impending papal visit to Colombia.
The Colombian Catholic Church had urged all clergies in the country to dissuade worshipers from watching the Teleamiga network after Galat had called the pope a false prophet in his talk show, “A coffee with Galat.”

In Shock Warning, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI says Catholic Church is ‘on the verge of capsizing’
Joshua Caplan Jul 16th, 2017 3:01 pm 109 Comments
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI issued shock criticism of his successor Pope Francis, warning the Catholic Church is a boat “on the verge of capsizing.”
According to Lifesite:
Pope Benedict XVI sent a sobering message at the funeral of Cardinal Joachim Meisner today, saying he was moved at the dubia cardinal’s ability to “live out of a deep conviction that the Lord does not abandon His Church, even when the boat has taken on so much water as to be on the verge of capsizing.”
The Church “stands in particularly pressing need of convincing shepherds who can resist the dictatorship of the spirit of the age and who live and think the faith with determination,” Pope Benedict said in a message read by Archbishop Georg Gänswein, his personal secretary and head of the papal household. Because of this “pressing need,” Meisner “found it difficult to leave his post.”
“What moved me all the more was that, in this last period of his life, he learned to let go and to live out of a deep conviction that the Lord does not abandon His Church, even when the boat has taken on so much water as to be on the verge of capsizing,” the pope emeritus concluded.
Meisner, who was 83, was one of the four cardinals who sent Pope Francis a dubia, consisting of five questions, asking if Amoris Laetitia is aligned with Catholic morality.
It’s an open secret Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and Pope Francis do not have much of a relationship. The Gateway Pundit published a little-reported story about the fractured relationship between the two Church figures.
Translated from a German report by Pewsitter.com:
Speaking at a March 16th conference in Limburg, Germany, the long-time Vatican correspondent Andreas Englisch has delivered an explosive allegation: In contradiction of public appearances, Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI “are in complete disagreement” and “never speak to one another.” The Pope Emeritus has apparently stated that he only appears in public “at the explicit request of Pope Francis.” What is shown on these occasions, Englisch continues, is “only the pretense of friendship.”
No official transcript of the press conference is yet available, but Giuseppe Nardi, another well-known Vaticanist who was in attendance, says that Englisch continued his statements by describing Pope Francis as a “strong personality” who “gets what he wants,” and that he has little in common with Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI but “uses him when necessary for the optics.

Marine Le Pen: Pope Francis Exceeds His Role as Religious Leader -Tells States to Disregard Their Own Citizens
Jim Hoft Apr 15th, 2017 9:07 pm 20 Comments
Marine Le Pen lashed out at Pope Francis in a recent interview for pressuring Western countries to open their borders for migrants.
Le Pen argued that Francis is telling states to disregard their own citizens.
Bretibart.com reported:
French presidential frontrunner Marine Le Pen has criticised the Pope for pressuring Western countries to open their borders to migrants, accusing him of asking states to disregard their own citizens.
In an interview with La Croix International, the leader of the Front National chided Pope Francis for asking “that states go against the interests of their own people by not placing conditions on the acceptance of significant numbers of migrants”.
The 48-year-old added that, in her view, the Argentine cleric’s pronouncements on immigration exceed his role as a religious leader.
“To me, this falls within the realm of politics and even interference, since he is also a head of state.”
Pope Francis is technically a foreign leader as Sovereign of the Vatican – a walled city-state with some of the strictest immigration and citizenship rules in the world.
Asked about her own religious views, Ms. Le Pen said: “I have a strong faith and I am fortunate in that I have never doubted it.
“However, I admit that I am angry with the Church because I think that it interferes in everything except what it should really be concerned with,” she added.

Crazy Pope Francis: “Muslim Terrorism Does Not Exist”
Jim Hoft Feb 18th, 2017 8:39 am 127 Comments
This is a very dangerous man.
The leader of the Catholic faith told believers on Friday that Muslim terrorism does not exist and the dangers of radicalism exists equally in all religions.
According to the Religion of Peace website 2016 there were 2476 Islamic attacks in 59 countries, in which 21239 people were killed and 26677 injured.
In July 2016 an Islamist murdered 87 people with a truck in Nice, France. 434 people were injured.
Breitbart.com reported:
In an impassioned address Friday, Pope Francis denied the existence of Islamic terrorism, while simultaneously asserting that “the ecological crisis is real.”
“Christian terrorism does not exist, Jewish terrorism does not exist, and Muslim terrorism does not exist. They do not exist,” Francis said in his speech to a world meeting of populist movements.
What he apparently meant is that not all Christians are terrorists and not all Muslims are terrorists—a fact evident to all—yet his words also seemed to suggest that no specifically Islamic form of terrorism exists in the world, an assertion that stands in stark contradiction to established fact.
“No people is criminal or drug-trafficking or violent,” Francis said, while also suggesting—as he has on other occasions—that terrorism is primarily a result of economic inequalities rather than religious beliefs. “The poor and the poorer peoples are accused of violence yet, without equal opportunities, the different forms of aggression and conflict will find a fertile terrain for growth and will eventually explode.”
The Pope also reiterated his conviction that all religions promote peace and that the danger of violent radicalization exists equally in all religions.

With All the World at War, Christmas Is a ‘Sham,’ Says Pope Francis
In a strongly worded homily, Pope Francis is calling Christmas a “sham” in the face of recent terrorist attacks and wars.
“Christmas is approaching: there will be lights, parties, lighted Christmas trees and manger scenes… it’s all a sham,” he said at Mass in his chapel Thursday at the Santa Marta residence where he lives in the Vatican.
“The world continues to go to war. The world has not chosen a peaceful path. There are wars today everywhere, and hate,” he said.
“A war can be justified, so to speak, with many, many reasons, but when all the world is at war, piecemeal though that war may be – a little here, a little there – there is no justification,” he said.
“We should ask for the grace to weep for this world, which does not recognize the path to peace. To weep for those who live for war and have the cynicism to deny it,” the pope said.
“God weeps, Jesus weeps,” he added.
Pope Francis was speaking less than a week after the brutal November 13 Paris attacks, which left 130 dead, as well as the double suicide bombing in Lebanon on November 12 and the bombing of a Russian Metrojet airliner over Egypt on October 31.
Ironically, the Vatican had just put up a massive Christmas tree in the center of Saint Peter’s Square, which will be decorated on December 8 for the start of the Vatican’s Holy Year with Christmas ornaments made by children from cancer wards in different Italian hospitals.
In front of the tree, a life-size nativity scene will include 24 wooden figures, with sculptures of ordinary people surrounding Mary, Joseph, the wise men, shepherds, and the baby Jesus.
Around the Vatican City, the atmosphere is anything but festive. Italy has deployed an additional 700 troops to the 1,300 already involved in a highly visible “safe streets” operation in Rome.
Along with the Vatican, soldiers are patrolling the Rome’s train stations, subway system and airports, as well as at major shopping districts.
Security measures have been beefed-up as Rome is preparing to host the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which begins December 12 and is expected to draw many millions of pilgrims.
Pope Francis also spoke of the “innocent victims” of war and also condemned arms dealers for their role in world conflicts.
“What shall remain in the wake of this war, in the midst of which we are living now?” he asked. “What shall remain? Ruins, thousands of children without education, so many innocent victims, and lots of money in the pockets of arms dealers.
